Alya Skin: The review

I have been following Australian skin care brand Alya Skin for some time, and have used a few of their products in the past. I had been planning to review once I got the full collection, and fortunately that time has now come. I was lucky enough to be gifted two full Alya Skin Glow Getter bundles for me and my mum after winning a competition online! The shipping time was super speedy and I'm so lucky I can now test out these amazing products. Watch out for my little tutorial video at the end of this post to see these products in action.

Firstly, the packaging is lovely. I love a product that looks good, especially if the range is all matching. It even came with a pink wash cloth, exclusive to the bundles. Alya Skin made its name from their Australian Pink Clay mask and kept the pink theme in all their products. Their products are all vegan and cruelty free, featuring native Australian ingredients such as berries and pink clay, as well as a variety of other natural ingredients like macadamia oil, watermelon seed oil, caffeine, sea kelp, strawberry gum, desert lime and pomegranate seed powder (just to name a few). They also use a few of my personal favourites, such as witch hazel, aloe vera and Vitamin C.

Now, onto the products themselves, starting with the Foaming Micellar Cleanser.

This features watermelon seed oil, geranium rose oil and witch hazel, and should be used daily to "rejuvenate and hydrate" the skin, as well as removing excess dirt, oil and makeup from the skin. The thing I enjoyed most was the amount of product, and the amount that comes out of the aplicator. One pump is more than enough to cover your face, and I know it will last a long time. It didn't feel drying or irritating on the skin, and did leave me feeling fresh and clean. This is a good product, and definitely leaves your skin well prepped for the rest of the routine.

Next up, we have the Pomegranate Exfoliator Facial Scrub. Featuring pomegranate seed powder to exfoliate the skin, this has been a staple product for me since I first purchased a few months ago. It is a brilliant exfoliator and leaves the skin feeling super smooth. As someone who struggles with breakouts of dry skin, this is a brilliant product for removing and buffing down the skin with ease. My skin has been through a lot, and I've tried many different products over the years, so it can handle a harsher product like this one. I wouldn't recommend to someone with more sensitive skin, as it can leave some redness if you scrub too hard, but with a more gentle application it could definitely work. Overall, this is one of my top products in the range, and I will definitely be repurchasing in the future.

After my shower, we moved on to the Pink Perfect Clay Mask. Another product I have used previously, I really do love this mask. A little expensive on its own, but as part of an Alya Skin bundle or as a treat, its definitely worth it. Using Australian pink clay, witch hazel and pomegranate extract, its claim to "detoxify and brighten" doesn't disappoint. After applying a thick layer to clean dry skin, leaving for ten minutes before washing off, my skin felt smooth, soft and tight, a feature I particularly enjoy in clay masks. I could see a noticeable difference after a few uses, but I do recommend sticking to it and using weekly. With a good regimen I think this product will definitely help out your skin.

After the mask, I applied the Vitamin C Supercharged Serum. Super easy to apply, instantly made my skin feel soft and it soaked into my skin fairly quickly, leaving enough time to really work into my skin before beginning to dry. Using a blend of hydraulic acid, desert lime and various other natural ingredients, it offers to "boost your skin", as well as to "soft, smooth and supple skin, with improved collagen productivity and skin elasticity". I really did enjoy using this serum. It was not oily, and left no noticeable residue on the skin. Overall, a really lovely serum, seems to do the job, and I can't wait for future use.

Second to last, I applied the Australian Native Berries Moisturiser, to any dry areas on my face. This product was smooth, easy to apply, and instantly felt hydrating. This product says it uses "macadamia oil to hydrate, restore, and replenish your skin", and also features glycerine and Theobroma cacao seed butter. It recommends daily application, and after using for only a few days I was noticing a difference in my skin; it felt softer and more hydrated instantly, and the daily usage really kept that up. This product was one I really enjoyed, as I had been suffering from dry skin at that point, and it has really helped since I first started using it. Combined with the exfoliator, it has really helped keep my dry skin at bay.

And last but not least, the latest product from Alya Skin, the Pink Pearl Illuminating Eye Cream. I've been suffering with hay fever recently, so my eyes have been quite dry and a little sore from itching, so I was thrilled when I tried this eye cream and found that it didn't sting or irritate my already very sensitive eyes, and instantly felt super soft and hydrating. I applied a little extra product than I would normally to combat my needs that day, but after using at night for only a few days the dryness had become almost non-existent. Featuring Tasmanian sea kelp, aloe vera, strawberry gum and caffeine, this eye cream really did impress, and a little definitely goes a long way. I applied using my fingers, and used a rose gold eye roller from Revolution to cool and de-puff my eyes, as well as distributing the product further.

So, that's my glowing review of the Alya Skin range, and honestly I can't wait to see what they release next. Below, I've included a link to the Alya Skin website, but you can also purchase on BeautyBay.com if you would rather, but they only currently sell four products from the range. Also, a short video of me trying out these products so you can get a good look at them in action. I hope you enjoyed this review as much as I did, and maybe I convinced you to try some yourself! What skincare shall I review next? Stay tuned to find out!

All my love,

Megs xoxo
